QA Automation Engineer – Madrid | Hybrid

We're hiring a QA Automation Engineer to join the Investment Risk IT team of a leading global asset management firm in Madrid.

You'll help shape the quality culture of their risk platforms, combining thoughtful manual testing with pragmatic automation. It's a team that values ownership, curiosity and clear communication, and where quality is built in from day one, not added at the end.

What you'll do

• Design and run manual tests across frontend, API and database layers, focusing on edge cases and business risks

• Build and maintain automated tests with Cucumber and Serenity BDD

• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for fast, reliable feedback

• Support performance and load testing

• Report quality status clearly using Allure

• Work closely with developers, BAs and product owners, and propose improvements to QA practices and tooling

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar

• 3+ years in QA, with solid experience in both manual testing and test automation

• Experience with Serenity BDD, Cucumber and/or Gatling

• Hands-on with Git, Jenkins and Gradle

• REST API and web services testing experience

• Agile/Scrum background

• Fluent English; German is a plus

• Comfortable using AI tools responsibly to boost productivity

Nice to have

• Experience in finance, investment risk or asset management

• ISTQB certification
