The Director of Engineering is responsible for leading the technical vision, strategy, and execution within a fast-growing startup. This role involves scaling engineering teams, driving innovation, and ensuring the development of high-quality, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the company's engineering strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Establish and improve engineering processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and agility.
- Oversee system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate closely with product and business teams to drive technical innovation.
- Manage technical debt while balancing speed and long-term sustainability.
- Attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent.
- Ensure best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong technical background in software development, cloud infrastructure, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience scaling teams and systems, implementing Agile methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive technical decisions that align with business objectives.
